CCTV Cameras for Traffic Monitoring during Roadworks
NDL Comms were contacted by Quick Traffic Management to deliver a traffic monitoring system to support a one-way road works project and maintain safe traffic flow throughout the 600m site.
The team installed eight high-definition cameras to provide full coverage with no blind spots, allowing traffic operatives to safely manage buses and emergency services travelling in the opposite direction by monitoring both ends of the site and key junctions in real time. NDL Comms also worked closely with the local authority to secure the necessary permissions to install equipment on lampposts.
A control cabin was installed with all communications routed back to a large monitoring screen for the traffic light operative, with secure remote monitoring available off-site. All systems were installed in line with ICO guidelines to ensure full compliance with data protection requirements.
